"[Soul Low] has a knack for melody and feeling, and every song has that thing -- that intangible thing -- that just gets to you."

- 88Nine Radio Milwaukee

Soul Low was born out of teenage jam sessions, late nights steeped in Violent Femmes and Hamm’s, and a general sense of irreverence. After establishing themselves in the Milwaukee DIY scene, the band hit the road to cut their teeth on stages across the country after releasing their debut album, "UNEASY," in 2013.

Opening for acts like Whitney, Twin Peaks, and Pile, and touring across both the east and west coasts, Soul Low found themselves ready to break new ground with “Nosebleeds,” their ambitious, offbeat opus in June 2016.

After earning accolades as Wisconsin’s “Band to Watch in 2017” from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and “Album of the Year” ["Nosebleeds"] at the 2016 88Nine Radio Milwaukee Awards, the foursome found themselves back in the studio hammering out what would become their third full release, "Cheer Up."

Set to release on Gloss Records this summer, "Cheer Up" combines the fevered pop anthems found on “UNEASY,” and their 2015 EP “Sweet Pea," along with bolder, riskier explorations of the subconscious.

The duality is heard in the frenetic, garage-pop single "Our New Deal" coupled with "JD & Me," a ghostly country-tinged tribute to Milwaukee's foremost boogeyman, Jeffrey Dahmer, while wiry Pixies vibes on “Sad Boy Freestyle” stand in contrast to the bitingly sunny opener, “Bad Set of Moods.”

“Do You Want To Die?” lead singer Jake Balistreri asks on the title track of "Cheer Up" – Catch this signature brand of optimism as Soul Low sets off across the country this summer supporting the release of the album.  Tour dates to be announced soon.
